As Phil Hellmuth prepared to make his grand entrance (more on that later) Annie Duke was inside the Amazon Room fighting for her tournament life. She lost a big pot early on to Duc Nguyen when Nguyen made two pair with Ac10c and left Annie with just 6,000 chips.
She later committed the last of her chips with pocket tens and ran into pocket queens. A queen came on the river and that brought a sudden end to Annie's Main Event.
